Andrea Vargas Kmecova, MMus
Piano Maestros’ founder and director, Andrea has been teaching piano for over twenty years. Her systematic approach to teaching piano helps her students to achieve fantastic results in exams and auditions. Andrea enjoys sharing her professional knowledge and experience, and she is passionate about bringing the art of piano playing to the wider audience through Piano Maestros tuition, concerts and events.
Alongside the regular teaching schedule Andrea performs as a chamber musician, and vocal accompanist. Her concert schedule is based mainly in London and the South East, while performing for Cunard, SAGA, P&O and Fred Olsen cruise ship audiences have taken her all around the world. When in London, Andrea works as a staff accompanist at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Junior Trinity College of Music in Greenwich, and she plays regularly for the Take Note Choir based in Blackheath. She is also the resident pianist at the Clarendon Hotel in Blackheath, where she plays most Sunday afternoons.
Andrea has the patience and the ability to demonstrate to beginners as well as inspire all levels, including the more advanced piano player with her musical and artistic performance and input.
