Harpsichord masterclass & performance practice workshop

  • Do you enjoy playing the music of the masters such as Bach or Handel?
  • Are you interested in the music history?
  • Would you like to score high in a baroque piece (list A) at your next grade exam?

Join us for an exciting interactive workshop on music from the baroque era led by Piano Maestros founder Andrea Vargas Kmecova. Our special guest, an early music specialist and harpsichordist Petra Hajduchova, will reveal all the quirks and secrets of this beautiful instrument.

WHEN? Saturday, 13 November 2021, 11AM – 1PM

WHERE? St Joseph’s Catholic Church, East Greenwich, 103 Pelton Rd, London SE10 9AN

Participating students are invited to bring any composition in the baroque style and take part in the masterclass led by Petra. Speak to your teacher if you need help choosing a suitable piece to play.

Everyone will be able to come close and experience the harpsichord during a short tea break, and we will close the event with a short concert. Performing students will receive a certificate of participation in the harpsichord masterclass.

We invite all students, players and piano enthusiast to attend this event, as it will definitely be one fo a kind opportunity to see the harpsichord up close, and receive first-hand tips and tricks on performing baroque music.
