Summer concert 2021
A Musical World Trip – Sunday, 27 June 2021, 6 PM
We may not be entirely free to travel anywhere we want this Summer, but there are no restrictions when it comes to music!
The end-of-year concert took us on a musical journey around the world as we heard piano pieces from different countries and continents. Our regular concert hall at Charlton House is currently transformed into the vaccination centre, so we hosted our end-of-term concert at the Clarendon Hotel Blackheath.
It was a lovely family event, and we have all thoroughly enjoyed listening to the live music-making and the delicious afternoon tea served at the Meridian Restaurant.
This concert was incredibly special – it was the first time since December 2019 that we were allowed to play in front of a real audience. In addition, we hosted the first-ever award ceremony for the inaugural Young Piano Maestro Award, from the Simply Be More founder Clare Langan, and the winner was announced!
The Young Piano Maestro Prize of 2020/2021 goes to Dylan Liu from the class of specialist tutor Tania Notte. CONGRATULATIONS!
Thank you to the wonderful management team and staff at the Clarendon Hotel for taking care of us.
